What to Expect When We Return to In-Person Worship

  • The only group activity that will take place on Sunday morning until further notice is worship.

  • No food or coffee will be served.

  • To minimize the time people are gathered in the building, the doors will be opened at 10:15 a.m. Worship will begin at 10:30.

  • It is Central Texas Conference policy that all people who attend in-person worship services wear a mask. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided for you. 

  • All staff, greeters, ushers, and offering stewards will wear masks. Staff may remove masks when participating in the worship service. 

  • Masked and gloved greeters will be in the parking lot to encourage people to enter through the main entrance to the sanctuary.

  • Masked and gloved greeters will open the doors and direct attendees to hand sanitizing stations and the table with masks if they need one. On communion Sundays, they will instruct attendees to take a prefilled communion cup from the table by the door. 

  • Masked and gloved ushers will lead people to open pews in the sanctuary ensuring social distancing. Family units will be encouraged to sit together and to maintain social distance from other family units at all times. 

  • The choir will not sing. The only music will be instrumental and/or by a soloist from the lectern or pulpit. There will be no congregational singing. 

  • There will be no bulletins handed out and no hymnals, Bibles, or offering envelopes in the pews. Bulletins will be available for printing on our website. You may bring your own, but we ask that you take it with you when you leave.

  • Preaching will take place from the pulpit.

  • The congregation will be dismissed by family unit by the ushers. 

  • The offering plates will be on tables by the front and rear exits to the sanctuary.

  • The nursery will be closed until further notice

  • Children will remain in their pews during the children’s sermon.  

  • Parents are encouraged to bring toys/paper/crayons/ to keep children occupied during the service. 

  • On Communion Sundays, a table with prepackaged communion cups will be placed at the entrances to the sanctuary. The cups will be placed on the table by volunteers wearing masks and gloves.​

  • An usher will take roll for contact tracing.
